Alpine Route Tour Day 5: Fluhli -> Beckenried

You will have a break from climbing today, but not until we get over the Glaubenbuelen pass. From there it is all downhill. Our descent is going to give you some incredible views of Lake Sarnen and beyond. Once down the mountain, you’ll spend most of the day on flat lake roads. Perhaps stop at our favorite beer garden in Sarnen for lunch before making your way to Stans. Once in Stans, we’re only 10 kilometers from our overnight in Beckenried.

Would you like some more climbing? The mountain resort town of Engelberg is 25 km down the road and it’s easy to take the train back to Stans.

Otherwise, get to Beckenried and enjoy your hotel on the lake: there's a beach with a nice bar right outside. Or, take the gondola up from Beckenried to Klewenalp for some amazing views of Lake Lucerne. The lift just down the road and leaves every 20 minutes.

Meet back at the hotel for drinks on the beach at 7 O’clock. We’ll likely have had some different adventures that we’ll want to share. Supper is on the terrasse overlooking Lake Lucerne.
