Originally from Iowa, John moved to Europe over 20 years ago and hasn’t looked back.. John taught English for a long, long time and had lots of interesting hobbies before founding “Bike Switzerland” and its affiliated websites.

Since then he’s been swamped ! John is married, has a little boy and lives in both Geneva and Zurich.

Matt Gain

Guide

Matt has nearly 20 years of road cycling experience and has raced in the USA and Europe.
He’s one of the leaders of our club rides, helps with VIP guests and volunteers his time regularly at the shop.

Raoul Wymann

Ride Leader

Originally from the Swiss Jura, Raoul is one of our regular ride leaders.
Although he’s able to keep up with the best of them, he prefers to hang back give advice to our newbie riders.

Chris Patient

A native of South Africa, Chris has been living and working in tourism here in Switzerland for over 20 years. He’s been a cycling guide for a number of different Swiss companies over the years and on our team for four seasons.

Elizabeth “Frog” Clubbe

Guide

Frog has been involved in outdoor education here in Switzerland for nearly 20 years and has been a part of Bike Switzerland since the beginning nearly 11 years ago.

She enjoys all sports, drinking and flirting.
